During a court sentencing in Ohio, a man was tackled to the ground by sheriff’s deputies after he attacked his brother’s killer when the perpetrator pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and aggravated robbery.
The incident was caught on one of the deputies’ bodycam, showing the man being pressed to the floor as the deputies instructed him to “take it easy” and questioned if he had calmed down.
The individual, Trevon Singleton, was removed from the court in handcuffs, and he was placed in a holding cell for reportedly trying to grab the throat of his brother’s killer.
Following this, the courtroom was cleared while the deputies discussed the incident.
Singleton was subsequently charged with contempt of court and sentenced to 15 days in jail, and the sentencing for the defendant convicted of manslaughter resumed the next day. The killer was reportedly sentenced to at least 25 years in prison.
