Man Charged For Last Year’s Kingston 8 Double Murder

A man has been charged for the horrific double murder that took place on Friday, October 6, 2020, at Courburn Lane, Kingston 8 that left 18-year-old Leonard Hendricks and 32-year-old Mark Wellington also known as “Blackie” wounded with gunshots and their heads severed.

The man charged for the crime is, Roger Smith and he was booked on Thursday, May 6, in the parish of Trelawny for the double murder, conspiracy to murder, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition after he was held and questioned by the police.

According to the police, on October 6th of last year, the deceased men were sitting in a Toyota probox vehicle when they were pounced upon by Smith and other gunmen who shot them, then had their heads severed.

Smith is now awaiting a court date, to answer the charges laid against him.
