Man Drowns in Pothole in St. Elizabeth

In a Bizarre turn of events, a 58-year-old man lost his life after falling inside a large pothole filled with water, the incident took place in the community of Watchwell in St Elizabeth.
It’s believed that the man whose name is Venroy Blackwood was under the influence of liquor when the incident took place.
A photo now making rounds online shows Blackwood who is from the Ridge Pen district lying facedown in a pool of water in the road, he had a bag on his back and his bicycle overturned on him.
Blackwood’s lifeless body was found Friday night, a few hours before midnight.
The matter is being investigated.
Another man’s body was removed from sea over the weekend in western Jamaica. As per reports, he went swimming while intoxicated.
