Man Found With 13YO Missing Ward Of The State Charged With Rape
Curtis Hamilton, a 26-year-old man from Kitson Town, St. Catherine was slapped with multiple charges after a 13-year-old ward of the state who was reported missing was found travelling in a motor vehicle with him.
Reports are that on Friday, June 17 at about 5 p.m., Hamilton and the underage girl were stopped at Angels in Spanish Town at one of the State of Emergency (SOE) checkpoints in the St. Catherine parish.
The accused was subsequently taken into custody after officers at the location identified the missing teenager.
According to the police, investigations revealed that Hamilton engaged in sexual activities with the minor. He has been charged with rape, grievous sexual assault and sexual touching of a child.
No court date has been set as yet.
