Man Held For Abduction and Rape Of 12yo In Clarendon

The man who is believed to be behind the recent rape and abduction of a six-grade student in Clarendon is currently in police custody.
According to the Clarendon police, the suspect was held last Sunday, he is subjected to an identification parade.
Details are that the 12-year-old student was walking home with her brother last Friday when they were offered a ride by a male who was driving a vehicle. “When they reached their destination, he told (name withheld) to come out the car and drove off with her,” a relative told The Gleaner on Saturday.
After being abused, the child was reportedly released in a community nearby her home late Friday night.
The girl was subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment.
