Man Killed in Manchester Allegedly Over $400 Debt
On Thursday, October 13, a man was allegedly slain over the meagre sum of $400.
A source stemming from the authorities relayed to the Observer Online that a dispute began between two men over a $400 debt. The victim, Kevin Neil otherwise called ‘Catfish’ was accosted by someone he owed at around 8:30 PM Thursday night in the Three Chains community, at the edge of Mandeville.
Allegedly, Neil and the other party got into an argument at a shop in Three Chains over the money that was owed, a fight ensued, and he was stabbed with a ratchet knife. The landscaper resident was transported to a hospital but was later presumed dead. The suspect was taken into custody subsequent to the incident.
According to the Manchester authorities, crime statistics unveiled that the parish has seen 25 more murders since the year began if compared to a similar period of up to October 8 the year before. Last year recorded 21 as opposed to 2022’s 46 murder cases.
