Man Suspected of Raping and Murdering 8YO Talia Thompson Escapes Police Custody in St. Ann

The man who is the prime suspect in the rape and murder of 8-year-old Talia Thompson escaped police custody Sunday morning while at the St. Ann’s Bay hospital.
There is now an ongoing manhunt for the capture of the 27-year-old suspect, who fled the hospital sometime around 12:15 a.m.
According to a report, the police are working hard to locate the man, who has been in their custody since September 24.
The man, who was said to be a close family friend of Talia family’s, was taken to the hospital after attempting to commit suicide by shooting and stabbing himself multiple times after allegedly raping and murdering the little girl.
Talia was reportedly raped and fatally stabbed on September 23 by the man.
