Manchester City Beats Manchester United 2-1 in FA Cup Final – Watch Goals and Highlights
Fierce rivals Manchester United and Manchester City clashed at Wembley Stadium, in England on Saturday in the FA Cup final, with City on the hunt for their second title this season.
Manchester City was propelled ahead of their adversaries mere seconds into the first half, with City captain İlkay Gündoğan scoring in the first 12 seconds. But Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes would equalise the match in minute 33 after a controversial penalty decision was awarded following a handball from Manchester City’s Jack Grealish.
The second half saw Gündoğan claim his second goal for Manchester City in the 51st minute, missing his third after his proceeding goal was declared offside. With attempts at goal by Manchester United forwards Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho turning up empty, City took the FA Cup 2-1.
Man City claimed their third consecutive Premier League title this season, and a FA Cup victory over Manchester United puts them firmly on course to secure a historic Treble by winning three trophies in a single season. Manchester City will face Inter Milan in the Champions League final next week, the ultimate test in their 2023/2023 football season.
