Dancehall’s Top Stricker Masicka is returning to the 2023 staging of Reggae Sumfest after blowing the audience away with his performance last year. The prominent artiste was revealed to be on this year’s list of stellar performers mere hours ago, and fans are definitely excited.
The announcement alerted the fans that they should “Expect a 10 outa 10 performance from the genna himself,” just like his less than 25-minute set at the Catherine Hall last summer, when he declared himself to be “di baddest artiste inna Jamaica.”
Last year, the artiste left the audience elated after putting on an ecstatic show that included Stefflon Don for a cameo performance of their song Moments. Masicka sang out his hits and paused during his act to address the crowd about not receiving the credit he believe he deserves.
“Sumfest, meck mi tell oonu suppm, dem nuh gi mi di credit mi deserve… A couple years well mi a di baddest ting inna di business… Mi a di baddest artiste inna Jamaica right now,” he stated.
The Update singer also spoke about being feared by his rivals, saying, “Dem fraid a mi yuh f_k… Dem caan step in front a mi no time.”
It is no surprise that he will be returning to the grand stage on July 21, and some fans are hoping that the deejay will close the event. One fan commented, “Yesssssssssssssss🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 after that closing last year den wah cud stop mi artist, and another said, “MASICKA FE CLOSE SUMFEST @reggaesumfest or even TOMMYLEE.”
