Mavado Pays Tribute to Mother on the Third Anniversary of Her Passing – Video

43-year-old Dancehall artiste David Brooks, professionally known as Mavado is showing honour to his mother Elizabeth Gordon again, this time he paid tribute on the third anniversary of her passing.

Gordon, who was fondly known as Ms. Pinny, passed away in 2021 on March 11. She reportedly died suddenly from heart failure, and Mavado was unable to physically be by her side or attend her funeral.

Despite not being able to attend her final send-off, the artiste has consistently honoured his mother’s memory, expressing on multiple occasions the impact she had on his life and the gravity of her loss. On Monday, Mavado once again took time to pay respect to his family’s lost matriarch in a post to his Instagram page.

“Love you mama today make 3 years you leave this world but a good over evil always and forever,” Mavado stated.

The deejay also shared an old video of him and his mother talking about his childhood and performing at church. Viewers of the video extended their support and kind words in the comment section, with artiste manager Romeich Major describing Gordon as a very humble person.

“Mama was so humble and sweet❤️❤️❤️,” Romeich wrote.
