Mean Dawg of Ward 21 to Return with ‘Ride and Pedal’

Dancehall artiste Mean Dawg of iconic Dancehall group Ward 21 is intent on returning to the forefront of the genre, prepping a slew of new songs to be released in the near future. ‘Ride and Pedal’ will be the first of the diverse tracks stored, to be released.
The song was constructed for the ladies with lyrics such as, “She a brucki brucki pop e molly haada, water walk gone a cassava, sardering the young gyal wah sarda… a weh shi call mi, fada, a Mean Dawg… Shawna seh shi want a katana…”
The Waterhouse Kingston 11 native whose real is Mark Henry now resides in Canada and is determined to break the barrier of hitting in Dancehall from Canada, something limited artistes have been able to do over the years.
Being fully optimistic about the prospects of the witty new song, the veteran deejay, shared a preview of the song on his Instagram page with the caption, “This is a hit ride and pedal ladies are you ready?”
‘Ride and Pedal’ will be out on all music platforms on 18 October.
Mean Dawg first burst on the scene in 1998/1999 with Ward 21 and is still making and releasing music 25 years later.
Mean Dawg’s most popular solo song is titled ‘Boom’ an explicit hit track that was also made for the females, released in 2018, it is a song he worked on with Ward 21 group member Kunley McCarthy.
