The whereabouts of Stephanie Williams, better known by her stage name Medikk, is still unknown as the police had no success during their extensive investigation.
The police openly discussed the measures they took to locate the missing artiste at the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Quarterly Media Briefing on Tuesday.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey, the police have searched several parishes, including St Ann, Clarendon, and Westmoreland.
Bailey, answering a journalist’s enquiry, said, “I’m aware that several lines of enquiry were made not only in the Corporate Area (but) in St Ann, Clarendon, Westmoreland. Several places were searched and other investigative processes were followed and unfortunately we’ve not been able to identify the missing singer.”
In recent reports, it was said that Medikk’s phone last pinged in Linstead, St Catherine, on August 24, which was the last day she was seen. The businesswoman was last seen wearing black tights with a matching top and a pair of shoes.
Her mother, Millicent McCurdy, had even put out a reward of $1 million. The family also staged a protest last week in front of the Constant Spring Police Station.
