After posting a picture of himself, rapper and actor 50 Cent was addressed by Marion Hall in the comments about her song being played in the popular crime series Power without her receiving any royalties.
According to the minister’s comment, she has been trying to contact 50 Cent for some time via his social media inbox and upon realizing that she wasn’t getting anywhere, she took this opportunity to speak about the money she is owed.
“I know you got some money for me, for using one of my songs in one of your power episodes. or you might have giving it to someone, who’s been taking my money, and not giving it to me , cause I haven’t gotten paid for that song, or any other songs that was used in other movies. I wrote it. Sang it. And if I check back. I might have produced it too. I use to go by the name Lady Saw. With all due respect. I need to know who to go to, so I can collect what is mine. I know you’re a respectable businessman, and wouldn’t mind if you produce a movie about my life. Look me up, and see if my story, interest you. I did send you a private massage before, but I know you must have gotten so many messages, that some gets lost in the trash. I hope this one don’t. My email is Marionhallministy@gmail.com I’m now a preacher, and gospel artist. Blessings overflow to you,” she wrote in the comment.
The comment was made under a post the rapper made on Sunday. The post was a picture of him rocking a cowboy hat as he stood next to a statue of a horse and captioned it, “I had a amazing time today at the Rodeo. You think your balling but ya not. These people got a lot of money. #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi #bottlerover”
Reportedly, the song that was played in the TV series was a track Minister Hall created back when she was dancehall artiste Lady Saw.
So far, 50 Cent has made no response to the comment.
