Skatta Burrell Invites Marion Hall To Reggae Sumfest 2022

Cordel “Skatta” Burrell has welcomed back Marion Hall into Dancehall with an invitation to perform at Reggae Sumfest 2022 after she announced that she would no longer be ministering on social media.

Burrell, Sumfest executive, posted a short clip of Lady Saw’s last performance at Reggae Sumfest in 2015, where she was the first female artiste to close the show since the iconic Reggae Festival started in 1993. Lady Saw held the crowd firm throughout her entire performance, which started an hour before daybreak and lasted until the sun was brightly shining.

Beneath his post, Burrell wrote the caption, “Lady Saw please come to #reggaesumfest and Minister to the audience. I believe you alone can quell the crime wave currently sweeping this island starting with the city of Montego Bay….. this July is the right time for a season of prayer and worship.”

Burrell shared that he believed Marion Hall belong to the Dancehall genre whether it is to sing secular or gospel dancehall. In additional posts, he expressed that Reggae Sumfest missed the 52-year-old Grammy award-winning Icon, and she is welcomed back to perform any genre of her choice because she is great at what she does.

He also added that until she comes back to do what she does best, she wouldn’t be at peace, “not even in the church”.

With the announcements of Reggae Sumfest 2022 being held between July 20 and July 23, everyone is waiting to see what Marion Hall will do next.
