Students and other persons are having health issues because of mold at the University of West Indies at Mona, Jamaica. There is mold in the ceiling, on the wall and near the plumbing fixtures.

The University is concerned about the effect on the students and teachers. Sir Hillary Beckles says they need to get to the Bottom of the problem as other Universities in the Caribbean have had the same problem; as there seems to be a change in the humidity in the region.

One student said her doctor has told her that she had Hives because of the mold and she has been coughing and vomiting as she brings up mucus that is dark brown sometimes and clear at other times.
