Mr. Lexx Now Free After Being Arrested In Panama

Veteran Dancehall artiste Mr. Lexx is now a free man after being accosted on Wednesday by immigration in Panama, for something that happened many years ago. According to reports, the Kingston entertainer spent over 24 hours under the watch of the authorities before he was released.

The detainment of the artiste took place at the Tocumen International Airport, located in Panama City and according to the “Full Hundred” artiste while being held he was issued threats of him being barred from the region due to a past arrest that took place in the United States in the year 1997.

While being held, Mr Lexx told his fans via Twitter that his phone was confiscated and he was disallowed from giving a reasonable explanation to his past arrest for which the case concerning it was dropped, which is why the entertainer thought it was unfair to have him banned from the region.

Having no other options, the deejay made several posts on Twitter via his laptop about the situation, which made fans alert and started to tag the Minister of Culture, Gender, entertainment and sports the honourable Olivia Babsy Grange, and Minister of Foreign affairs, Kamina Johnson in the series of social media posts made by the veteran artiste.

Luckily for Mr. Lexx, Panama officials were contacted by officials from the Jamaican Government and he was eventually released without a ban from the country.

In his final words on the situation, the entertainer said he only wished that he had tweeted to his followers earlier, which might have just saved him a day of trouble. Mr. Lexx also thanked Minister Grange and her team for their part in ensuring his freedom was secured.
