Najeeriii Addresses Controversial Pushing of Female Fan During Performance – Watch Video

Following the release of the viral video of him pushing a female fan, dancehall up-and-comer Najeeriii addressed the incident, which initiated backlash from some fans.

During his performance at the Tuff Crowd Bikini Soca Cooler Fete in Clarendon on Saturday, Najeeriii was embraced by a female fan who climbed on stage from the crowd. Najeeriii quickly shoved the woman away, causing her to fall, and clips of the incident began rapidly circulating online.

Disappointed viewers expressed their outrage online, leading the Panton deejay to voice his remorse and address the issue during a performance at another event. Najeeriii said that while he was there to perform, he also wanted to represent for all the women at the party.

The artiste clarified that he does not condone, tolerate, or promote violence against women in any form. Seemingly giving reasons as to why his actions may have been justified, Najeeriii said he had to promote self-protection, boundaries, and personal space.

The female fan at the centre of the viral on-stage incident, Kassandra, the ex-mistress of YouTube vlogger Cushane “CMR” Carter, has since spoken out. According to Kassandra, Najeeriii apologised to her after the incident.
