Nhance Reveals His Son “Drop out” During Emotional Performance at Reggae Sumfest With Teejay

Rising young Dancehall artiste Nhance was offered the opportunity to perform alongside Teejay at Reggae Sumfest 2024.

During his performance, Nhance who is the son of former member of the Gaza Empire, Sheba, told a touching story about wishing to be on the show one year ago after watching 2023’s staging, he also talked about losing his son.

Teejay initially introduced his son to the large crowd gathered and went on to sing a collab the two did. Fellow Dancehall artiste Quada was also offered the opportunity to perform on the show by Teejay.

Next Nhance was called up on stage by the Montego Bay artiste, “Dah youth yah name Nhance and mi want unuh show him some love,” stated Teejay as he introduced the Spanish Town native deejay.

“Last year mi a watch Sumfest pan TV bro and mi see all the artiste dem pan Sumfest and mi a seh to mi self seh father God a when my time ago forward so mi can deh pan Sumfest,” stated Nhance.

He went on to highlight that he got a call, informing him that his son “drop out”, he next pointed out, that “same night” he got another call from his mother, informing him that Teejay will be calling him up to perform on Sumfest’s stage this year.

The young deejay’s voice crackled as he talked about his setback and triumph, causing an uproar in the crowd. Nhance next performed his most popular song after giving his speech and exited the stage which was followed by Teejay continuing his performance with some party songs.
