One Million Shots Of COVID-19 Vaccines Taken So Far in Jamaica Says PM Holness

Jamaica received the second shipment of the Pfizer vaccine on November 4th, Prime Minister Holness announced that the shipment of 204,750 doses of the Pfizer vaccine was donated by the Government of the United States of America, he also took time out to thank President Biden. Holness has made it clear, over the past year of his intentions with regards to Jamaicans being vaccinated, outlining that he wants one million persons to be vaccinated by the end of 2021.

While on route to this goal, the prime minister took to Twitter moments ago to announce that, “1,000,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses” have been administered islandwide. He stated, “I am happy to note that we have administered 1,000,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses. I’m even happier that we were able to reach this target 3 weeks early. Thanks to each and every Jamaican who decided to get vaccinated and especially to those who became vaccine ambassadors.”
