News of the 27-year-old man accused of raping and murdering 8-year-old Talia Thompson escaping police custody ignited outrage as Jamaicans blamed the police for not having tight security at the St. Ann’s Bay hospital. The fury has now further intensified as a photograph of the alleged escapee surfaces online.
The candid photograph shows a man seated in a wheelchair with a bandage on his head while wearing a hospital gown. The dark-complexion male also had tubes and a bag attached to him.
The image was submitted to an Instagram blogger, informing the page that it was the suspect, whose name is Troy Ellis.
“This is a picture of escapee Troy Ellis,” the message read, adding that the photo was taken two days ago at the St. Ann’s Bay hospital.
Since the photo was shared with the public, there has been an outcry for “jungle justice” from furious Instagram users.
