PNP Councillor Uphell Purcell Confesses to Being in Leaked Video
A video has gone viral, showing a councillor from the People’s National Party master bating while fully nude. The councillor, Uphell Purcell of the York Town division in Clarendon South West, has since admitted that he is the man in the sex video, which he said was for a woman.
The circulating allegations stated the video, which showed the councillor in different compromising positions as he pleasured himself, was sent to a male with whom Purcell was involved, but then he leaked it.
According to Purcell, who spoke with the Jamaica Star about the incident, he was shocked when it was released and reported to the police’s cybercrime unit.
Purcell, a councillor in York Town since 1998, said that he was a victim of a crime, citing a violation of his privacy. The video, less than two minutes long, began circulating some days now, and he said that he was called to multiple meetings by the party’s officials to discuss the matter.

Nevertheless, Purcell remained optimistic about the issue being fully resolved and rejected the rumours of him leaving the PNP and his divisional and constituency duties. He, however, said that he could not comment on whether he had any plans to leave his public positions.
