Police Identify American Woman Found With Throat Slashed In St James

[Sharingbuttons]The police have identified the American woman whose body was on Saturday morning found with her throat slit along Long Hill, St James.

She has been identified as 26-year-old unemployed Desiree Hyacinth Gibbon of Queens, New York.

According to a police report, Gibbon arrived in Jamaica on the 20th October and was given a three months stay in the country. She reportedly obtained a Tax Registration Number (TRN) and was actively seeking employment since her arrival.

Gibbon was positively identified by a close relative who last saw her Thursday night.
