Police Searching For Man Who Set House on Fire With His Mother and a Baby Inside

A sickly woman and an eight-month-old baby are left homeless after the woman’s son set their house on fire with them inside.
The man, according to a report, set the house ablaze with a baby and his mother inside on Monday night. The incident occurred on Brooks Level Road in Stony Hill, St. Andrew, and the fire was doused by firefighters from the Half-Way Tree and Stony Hill fire stations.
After setting the house on fire, the man left the scene. Luckily, the woman and the baby were not critically injured in the fire.
A report from the Jamaica Gleaner also detailed that the woman was visited by Juliet Cuthbert-Flynn, the member of parliament for West Rural St. Andrew.
Police are currently looking for the woman’s son, whose brother characterised his actions as cold. After the incident, residents of the area were helping to remove the remains of the burned-out house.
