Policeman Killed In Portmore

The Police are currently conducting a manhunt after a Policeman was killed while playing dominoes early this morning.
The deceased officer has been identified as 57 years old, Sergeant Averel McCollin who carried out his duties at the Hunts Bay Police Station located in St. Andrew.
According to the reports following the incident, the Police who is well known in the Gregory Park area where he is from was amongst a group of 5 people playing dominoes in the area of Cottage Drive in the community, when at approximately 1:25 am 6 men ambushed the scene, on foot, opening fire hitting the Officer multiple times and escaped on foot.
Luckily for the other persons on the scene, none of them was shot.
McCollin was rushed to the hospital where he passed away around 2:49 am, from his injuries.
The deceased cop was well recognized by the Jamaica Defence Force, for contributing 30 years of service to them.
