Dancehall artiste Popcaan is in the mood for new music but the deejay is not going to just release a single as on Tuesday he promised his fans on Twitter that he will be dropping an album.
The “Unruly Boss”, revealed the information on the social media platform on Tuesday, when he made a post which stated, “The name of my new album is Great is he let’s go!!! Great is me!!!”.
Many fans of the entertainer were very supportive of what he said, knowing that ‘Poppy’ has been working very hard since his first days on the music scene as a protege of the ‘Teacha’, Vybz Kartel.
In previous years, Popcaan released several projects, however, throughout that time he has avoided referring to the projects as albums, calling them EP’s instead but this time he has done differently and might even be eyeing the Grammy to make his “Inviolable’ mark.
Some of the well-renowned bodies of works that the deejay has put out over the years are; ” Where We Come From” in 2014, “Forever” in 2018, “Vanquish” in 2019 and his last one “Fixtape” released in 2020.
Now Popcaan’s fans are eagerly looking towards the release of “Great Is He”, and what would make the album remarkable is if the “El Chapo” singer features the likes of Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer and other great artistes in the business who came before him.
So far, none of the deejay’s body of works has had the “Worl Boss” on them, which has caused many tongues to wag about the reason behind that, but truthfully if ‘Poppi’ has it in his mind to make an indelible impression of greatness on Jamaican music he might just need to do so by tieing up all loose ends and getting Kartel on the upcoming album.
