Popcaan Shows off His Swimming Skills During “Maroon Training” – Watch Video
Popcaan, the Unruly Boss went over to his Instagram account to show his fans that he is an avid swimmer while he was in maroon training recently. The dancehall singer seemed to be enjoying himself as he and his “Killies” were out and about.
Popcaan, more formally known as Andre Sutherland, is a St. Thomas native and a singer/songwriter. He was born in 1988 and made his debut in 2008. Since then, he has released a number of studio albums, with his latest being ‘Great Is He.’
The album features artistes such as Canadian rapper and songwriter Drake, Africa’s Burna Boy, and Jamaica’s very own Chronic Law. It also features the popular track “Next to Me” by Popcaan and his new girlfriend Toni-Ann Singh.
In conclusion, in the post that is still available on Popcaan’s main Instagram account, the Jamaican deejay is seen fully submerging himself to swim to a rock in the water where his friends were. Popcaan made sure to let his fans know that they were “outside” and that they were undergoing “maroon training.” He could also be seen taking pictures of an ATV and under the water.
The maroons are descendants of escaped slaves who ran away from their Spanish-owned plantations when the British overthrew Spain on the island of Jamaica.
