Dancehall artiste Popcaan has announced the cancellation of his upcoming concert at the O2 Arena in London, England, as his team investigates if the show was sabotaged by a former team member.
Popcaan was scheduled to take his Popcaan and Friends Unruly Fest to London on November 30, one of several European stops on his Great His He album tour. On Monday, the Unruly Entertainment management team released a statement that announced the cancellation of the upcoming concert, which it described as unavoidable.
According to the statement, the cancellation was a result of a “former critical member of his team who failed to completely fulfil critical milestones in the preparatory stages of the production.” It was also disclosed that an investigation is ongoing to ascertain if there was a motive behind the strange chain of events and ensure they do not recur.
The Unruly management team extended their apologies to Popcaan’s fans, who had been anticipating the event, and shared that the artiste was determined to bring the concert to London in the future. Popcaan went on to share his desire to bring Unruly Fest to London in an Instagram post, sharing his management team’s statement.
The Party Shot deejay stated that additional details regarding the concert would be given soon and thanked his fans for their years of support. The artiste also noted that he will be performing at various other locations in Europe.
