US rapper Adolph Robert Thornton, Jr. whose more commonly known as Young Dolph was shot and killed about midday on Wednesday at Makeda’s Butter Cookie shop, located in his home town, Memphis. Reports are that the 36 years old musician was at the shop to buy cookies for his mother when a car pulled up and started firing shots at Dolph. He was inside the shop when he got shot.
Since the news broke, countless persons from the hip-hop/rap industry have shared their condolences online, “Rest in power young Brother,” tweeted veteran rapper LL Cool J. who also stated, “I pray your children and family are covered and lifted up by the almighty.”
Rapper Gucci Mane also wrote, “This broke my heart.”
A few years ago the rapper was also attacked by gunmen which resulted in his vehicle reportedly receiving 100 bullet holes.
