Reggae Boy Bobby Decordova-Reid Scores against Liverpool for Fulham

The match between Fulham and defending champions Liverpool was played at the historical Craven Cottage stadium – home to Fulham.

In form English born, Jamaican forward – Bobby Armani Decordova-Reid fired the home team into the lead in the first half only for Mohamed Salah to find a late equaliser, converting a spot-kick with just 10 minutes to spear.

Quite a few fans on social media commented and posted their opinion on the matter, they seemed certain that VAR should have summoned the man in the middle following a coming to together of players, Mohamed Salah was shoved just before Reid slotted home the first goal of the day.

The Egyptian talisman had been edged, thus lost his balance, but remained on his feet. Match referee, Andre Marriner seemed as if he had a clear view enough of the situation, but didn’t consider it as something for the game to be stopped.

A spot-kick was awarded to Liverpool after about 35 minutes into the second half, that decision also diversified opinions of fans on social media who shared their views followed by a couple of sarcastic memes and bantering from both sets of fans as well as neutrals.

Based on the revised rules of the once beautiful game, Andre Mariner made a justifiable choice not to call the play back.

With all of that said, many people were noticeably befuddled by the “no-call”, as newly-promoted Fulham held the 2019/2020 champions Liverpool to a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon.

Some Pundits argue that Fulham’s goal should have not been given.
