Reggae Boy Demarai Gray Only Jamaican Included in CONCACAF Gold Cup Best XI

English Premier League winner Demarai Gray has surely won the hearts of many Jamaican fans with his excellent performances in the just-concluded Gold Cup, which included four goal contributions in five games.
Gray’s performances also grabbed the Gold Cup organizers’ attention, as they have since added him to CONCACAF Gold Cup Best XI, making him the only Jamaican named in the team.
His selection to the team is seen as a sign of the bright future ahead for the Reggae Boyz. What made his achievement more impressive is that this was his debut tournament for the Reggae Boyz.
The skilful winger hit the ground running by grabbing an assist in his debut game for Jamaica against the Americans. Gray did not stop there as he scored two goals in the following match against Trinidad and Tobago.
The Evertonian winger also made his impact felt in the knockout stages by picking out an intricate pass to set up Bell, who scored crispily to clip Guatemala 1-0 in the quarter-finals.
Being the only Jamaican player named in the CONCACAF Best XI team Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) congratulated him for his performance by posting a message to their Instagram account.
“After 5 games, 2 goals and 2 assists Demarai Gray has been selected in the CONCACAF Best XI of the 2023 Gold Cup,” the JFF wrote.
