Reggae Boyz FIFA Ranking Update
Jamaica has long been known for its passion and talent in the world of sports, and football is no different. The country’s national football teams(male and female) have consistently showcased their skill and determination, earning them the top spot in the Caribbean and a respected place in international football.
The Boyz recently beat Canada in a thrilling encounter to qualify for the 2024 Copa América tournament.
In the latest FIFA rankings, Jamaica’s men’s national team continues to rank above the average. The senior men’s team, commonly known as the “Reggae Boyz,” has maintained their 55th position in the rankings, securing a commendable position among other reputable footballing nations.
While the male team is ranked at 55 with 1421.54 total points, the female team has been better, the Reggae Girlz has 1588.67 total points and is currently ranked 37th in the world having qualified for the last two World Cups. The Reggae Boyz only tasted World Cup football in 1998 and are hoping for a successful World Cup Qualifying campaign next summer.
The Reggae Boyz’ next major match will be against the USA in the CONCACAF Nations League, the match is scheduled for March 21, 2024.
