Reggae Song ‘Praise Jah in the Moonlight’ Makes Big Jump to #39 on Billboard Hot 100

After falling three places in last week’s updated version of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, YG Marley’s ‘Praise Jah in the Moonlight’ has made a massive jump up the chart to settle at the 39th spot.

Last Tuesday, the song settled at 63 after being ranked #60 the previous week. As per the latest rank on Billboard’s website, the song jumped 24 places over 7 days from 63 to 39.

Notably, ‘Praise Jah in the Moonlight’ is surrounded by Victoria Monet’s ‘On My Mama’ at 38 and Jelly Roll With Lainey Wilson’s ‘Save Me’ at 40.

The song has been on the chart for 4 weeks, which is far less time than the other songs nearby on the chart, making its current rank impressive.

Aside from its success on the Billboard Chart, the song has garnered over 100 million streams on Spotify. In response to the Spotify numbers, the young Marley took to Instagram and wrote, “Wow” as the caption for a post showing the achievement.

Reggae artiste YG Marley whose birth name is Joshua Omaru Marley is the grandson of Reggae legend Bob Marley. He is the son of Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley, hence a 3rd generation Marley like Skip Marley.

YG Marley’s ‘Praise Jah in the Moonlight’ was released in December, with the viral song making its debut at #74 on the Hot 100 Billboard chart recently.

Its official audio was released on YouTube on December 25 and has so far amassed over 18 million views to date.
