Dancehall artiste Teejay has secured his first spot on the Billboard album chart, with his EP I Am Chippy making its debut on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart.
Teejay released I Am Chippy, his first EP, on February 2. Following its release, the ten-track project quickly made its debut on the Reggae iTunes Chart, claiming the No. 1 spot from Bob Marley’s posthumous album Legend.
I Am Chippy debuted at No. 9 on the Reggae Albums Chart.
Prior to its release, Teejay expressed that the EP was meant to showcase his growth. Its performance on the Billboard chart will no doubt be a testament to the artiste’s growth in the international market.
