Reggae Sumfest, Jamaica’s largest musical festival, dubbed the ‘Greatest show on earth’ is getting ready to stage another energy-packed, highly anticipated event with the official release of the commencement date for 2023.
The event is scheduled to commence on July 16-22 in Montego Bay, Jamaica and though the official location has not been confirmed, it is presumed that it will be hosted at its usual venue, the Catherine Hall Entertainment Centre.
Since first launching in 1993, at this time of the year, the parish is usually flooded with patrons from Jamaica and the rest of the world who are excited to see live performances from top Reggae and Dancehall entertainers.
Joe Bogdanovich, CEO of Downsounds Records and promoter for Reggae Sumfest labeled the 2022 staging as “The Return”, a name given due to its two-year hiatus resulting from the coronavirus pandemic.
This year’s edition featured some of the hottest artistes who gave an unforgettable experience with appearances from music stars such as Spice, Alkaline, Masicka, Shenseea, Dexta Daps, Aidonia, Govana, Intence, Teejay, Nation Boss, Yaksta, Beres Hammond, Koffee, Sizzla, and many more.
