Richie Flores Denies Claims of Missed Payments Made by Shaneil Muir – Watch Video

Richie Flores, former manager of Shaneil Muir, has refuted accusations made by the entertainer that he has been mishandling her finances.

Muir made the claims on a recent Instagram Live, during which she emotionally expressed her frustration with the dancehall music industry and her management team headed by Flores of RebelAce Music Ltd.

“Yuh see this manager name, Richie Flores, in my situation, he represents the devil himself,” Muir stated.

Speaking with dancehall artiste Mr Vegas on a Livestream on Thursday, Flores denied any wrongdoing and said that any funds owed to Muir were paid. Flores explained that though the artiste requested that 100% of the deposit first be paid to her, and thereafter she would have compensated him, it was not done as it is not a standard practice in the industry. He went on to state that this was not practised due to any number of incidentals that may arise, such as if it became necessary to refund a promoter if the artiste misses a planned event.

According to Flores, after receiving a notice that he was no longer permitted to collect funds or conduct any business on behalf of Muir, he was formally terminated by the singer on October 10. The manager quashed rumours that he used Muir’s money to pay for a trip to Paris and said that after returning to the country, he was made aware of an oversight by his accountant of U$4300 that should have been paid to Muir. The outstanding amount was subsequently sent to Muir, and the only funds kept were the 20% management fee as well as the 10% booking fee that was owed to him and his team.
