Popular Jamaican singer Sean Kingston, 34, is now hoping to be released soon after appearing in court on Monday. The judge in charge of the court proceedings set a $100,000 for Kingston, who is facing over a million in fraud charges.
The Jamaican appeared in a Florida court, days after his extradition to the state, as per reports, he listened keenly as a Broward judge detailed his 10 charges. The charges include grand theft, fraud, and the criminal use of personal identification.
The allegations paint a picture of organized criminal activity, involving substantial financial and material theft.
Kingston‘s attorneys argue that the charges lack substance and claim that their client is innocent. Bob Rosenblatt, representing both Kingston and his mother, emphasized that any signed waivers were obtained under coercion.

Rosenblatt firmly denies any fraudulent activities, suggesting that the issues are contractual disputes rather than criminal actions. “Well, I don’t know who is claiming they owe money. You know, we were aware of the watches, we are aware of the TV issue.”
Rosenblatt continues, “If there are other issues I’m not sure about… It’s a breach of contract. There’s no fraud here. There’s no organized fraud at all.” He also outlined that he and his team are “very confident,” that the charges will be dismissed.
