Sean Paul Receives National Honour

Sean Paul, the Grammy Award-winning Superstar, received a national honour and said it was a humbling experience. He is set to receive the honour for his contribution to the promotion of reggae music and the Global popularity, at King’s House on October 21. The Order of Distinction in the rank of commander (CD) will be given to him.

The 46-year-old entertainer said he admired the awardees over the years when he watched the ceremony and feels honoured to be receiving the award now.

He also wondered what the honourees had done over the years to receive such an honour and now that he is being awarded, he has a feeling that is surreal.

“I have followed my heart and tried not to make his actions affect anyone in a negative way “, he said. Sean Paul and Jodi who got married in 2012 are expecting to welcome their second child, that’s a daughter, into the world soon.
They already have a 2-year-old son and the artiste also spoke about how fatherhood affected his career.

He also spoke about his new music; it will be produced by Island Records and it is called “when it comes to you” and he is the only artiste on this one.

Sean Paul plans to take a break from touring until after the birth of his daughter and resume in November.

He also did a song with Squash, 6ixx Boss and the video for it is ready to be released. He also said, “the “Dutty Rock” Team was promoting the Callaloo Rhythm, which features Seam Paul, Spagga Benz and Delly Ranx. More productions like that are expected to be released before Christmas or early next year”.
