Serious Weather alert for Jamaica over next 24hrs

Jamaica’s Meteorological Service has officially issued an alert warning for all 14 parishes of the island as a strong tropical wave approaches, it is currently southeast of Jamaica, the wave is expected to make landfall this evening and last for one day.
As seen in the image below, The tropical wave has a large surface area and is expected to develop into a tropical depression in the next few days, See the RED-X below.
According to the Jamaica star “As the system moves west -northwestward, projections are for cloudy conditions with periods of showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times, along with strong gusty winds to affect sections of most parishes beginning tonight and continuing through to Tuesday evening.”
The Jamaica’s Meteorological Service also stated that situation is currently being monitored.
