Thompson is currently facing two charges: a bribery charge stemming from an October 2021 incident and a charge of three counts of murder in relation to the slaying of two men and a woman in 2022. In 2021, Thompson and his co-accused, Romario Scott, were stopped by members of the Specialised Operations SWAT team while travelling in Old Harbour, St. Catherine. A search of the vehicle reportedly led to the discovery of a loaded weapon, and both men were arrested and charged.

Taking responsibility for the weapon, Scott pleaded guilty in April 2022 and is currently serving a six-year and one-month prison sentence. Thompson was freed of the gun charges but is still facing charges for breaching the Corruption Prevention Act, as it is alleged that the producer offered an officer $2 million after the gun was discovered.

With regards to Thompson’s greater charge of three counts of murder, he was arrested in connection to the murders of Chadwell Frazer, 27, Chamario ‘Chippy’ Calvin, 24, and Toniann ‘Too Fly’ Reid, 26. The deceased and two other individuals were shot multiple times in Rose Heights, St. James, in May 2022.

Thompson was identified during an identification parade as one of the gunmen who committed the triple murder.
