The Mobay native revealed that she has personally experienced the lack of unity within the genre and that, based on her previous encounters, female dancehall artistes have the ‘biggest egos’.

Despite the disunity within the local music industry Shaneil Muir says she has gotten a lot of support from fellow artistes, including the likes of Beres Hammond, Teejay, Spice, and Jada Kingdom, to name a few.

The Yamabella artiste also revealed that she was the cousin of dancehall artiste Shane O. Even though Shane O is credited with being one of the most talented songwriters, Shaneil Muir says she has written all her songs plus ghostwrites for others.
