Shelly Belly, Cyaan Tiad, Logo Logo, Dyema, Stampede and Gary Chucks Win Big in The Release Street Recognition Awards

Kingston, December 11, 2021 – Street culture plays a vital role in the Entertainment Industry in Jamaica. From the selectors, to dancers, fashionistas and even the vendors, the ‘streets’ has embraced and moulded several talented Jamaicans. The Release Television Programme will be hosting their annual Street Recognition Award dubbed ‘The Release Street Recognition Award’ on Monday, December 13, 2021, at 5:30 pm. The award will be streamed live to @TheReleaseJa YouTube Channel and Facebook Page where viewers can watch awardee acceptance speeches, performers, and win multiple giveaways online. This year awardees include Shelly Belly, Cyaan Tiad, Logo Logo, Dyema Attitude, Stampede, and Gary Chucks.
The event now in its 3rd staging will be hosted by Talisa Taylor and Badda Bling and will see performances from Shane O, Magnum Top Performa Finalists Prince Saj and King Calie, Trench Town based artiste Vyzadon and Di Unit’s very own Badda Bling will be performing for the 1st time as an artiste. “I am very excited about the awards this year. For the last 2 years our industry has taken a big financial hit. We wanted to give back to those who have managed to stay afloat during this time while flying the street culture flag high” said Talisa, who is also one of the Executive Producers of The Release.
In the past, The Release has awarded Boom Boom and Harry Hype, Ikel Marvlus and Flabba Dabba, Stone Love, and Toney Chrome to name a few. Joseph Moore, Executive Producer of The Release advised, “We select persons to be awarded based on their influence on the culture, the number of years of dedication, and overall, how they relate to their peers. We aim to be fair, and we have been applauded for our selections”.
While the company has executed these awards in the past without suitable funding, this year they welcome sponsors inclusive of RumBar Rum, Hapilos, Magnum Tonic Wine, Boom Energy Drink, 360 Global Entertainment and Wesrok Celebrity Salon and Supplies, EppJam Productions, Ireland Records, Zimii Hair Care, British Linkz, and Taylor Made Events and PR Management. “I am very thankful to the companies who have partnered with us.
