“Yuh know a who flop? Shenseea,” he said. He also remarked that she is a Jamaican, therefore, should remain true to her roots. During the sit-down, Jaii Frass expressed that Shenseea is a phenomenal artiste, however, he also confidently asserted that her music career has declined tremendously since her exploration into another genre.

“You’re a Jamaican…Be yourself, be authentic,” he said to Shenseea.

Diving further into the subject, Jaii Frass listed some of the “new” Shenseea singles compared to those that stemmed from her breakthrough on the music scene. He noted that her older songs such as, ‘Trending Gal’ and ‘Rebel‘ were most accepted by the masses, which speaks a lot for her career.

“Be yuhself, yuh biggest song dem a still Rebel and Trending Gal and dem song deh, it’s a reason,” he voiced.

According to him, though Shenseea has been working with top international producers and artistes, she has not had a hit song in years. He then mentioned the collaboration, ‘Rain,’ between herself and Skillibeng, by renowned producer, ATL Jacob where he labelled it as being mediocre at best, “Bay f*ckery,” he said.

To add, he noted that her song, ‘Lick,’ with Megan Thee Stallion did not make the charts and predicted that her most recent collaboration, ‘Beama,’ with international star, Lola Brooke will reap the same fate.

On the other hand, Jaii Frass claims that Shenseea being “flopped,” has repercussions on the possibilities for other local talents to be recognized. He expounded to say that she was signed by an international music label when she was the hottest artiste in Jamaica, but now, questioned if others would want to take a chance with another from the country.
