Shenseea’s Impressive Rise In The Music Industry
Dancehall artiste Shenseea has been making big strides in the music industry both on local and international levels. Since the release of her first hit “Loodi” in 2017, the entertainer has been making hits after hits, making a name for herself in Dancehall which has now landed her on the international scene.
Through her banging tracks and powerful voice, the entertainer went from doing just the Dancehall genre to diversifying her music to land collabs with international musical powerhouses such as Doja Cat, 21 Savage, Megan Thee Stallion and Tyga.
The “Blessed” artiste further landed herself a huge international feature by being the only female rapper on Kanye West’s Grammy-nominated album, DONDA. Even more so, Apple Music described Shenseea as “a global artiste” and have announced last week that she is the new addition to its ‘Up Next’ programme. This programme is a monthly artiste initiative geared towards identifying, showcasing and elevating rising talent.
These many accomplishments have intensified Shenseea’s confidence as she strives at becoming an internationally acclaimed artiste, which she says is closer than ever.
She voiced on Apple Music 1 when speaking to Zane Lowe that “I feel like I’m so close to it” and further added that “I feel like when you’re destined for something, you won’t feel like you need to not rest until it’s done. So, it’s like I just got to go a little bit further, a little bit further”.
Shenseea’s first album titled “Alpha” is set to be released on March 11, 2022 and will feature tracks such as “Deserve It” and “Lick” which will see the artiste experimenting with a different sound and showcasing her versatility.

2021 was surely the year for female Dancehall Diva, Shenseea as we witness an unmatched climb in her career which made her one of the most successful acts of the genre for that period up to the present.
Her success did not only come with the connections she made, even though they are worth mentioning because some of those dots she connected could be said to be the causal factor that led to her reaping in more followers and listeners on her social media pages.
Just recently the entertainer made an Instagram post letting her fans know of her most recent success, which took the form of her becoming the first Jamaican female ever to gain 2 million youtube subscribers.

Considering that Shenseea is only 25 years old and has a long career ahead of her, it will be no surprise to see her social media influence being doubled in the next few years, considering that her music market is getting much wider and she is gaining much more listeners.
