Silk Boss Makes Song About Being ‘Set Up’ – Listen Preview

The viral video of the artiste Silk Boss getting beaten up by his friends who felt they had to teach him a lesson for being fake has been making its rounds on social media. In the midst of dealing with the funds owed for his no-show at Nuh Umpi Scumpi, the situation caused another stir that had the 20-year-old (real name Rohan Reid) facing a lot of ridicule online.

The entertainer seems to be making the best out of the incident, however, with his new unofficial release of a song entitled Set Up. It was uploaded to the Global Star YouTube page as an unofficial preview audio on Tuesday, August 30. It currently has 41,136 views and over 2,300 likes.

Silk Boss sings, “mi owna fren guh get me up and make them take mi tings. Mi look innah the nozzle dawg and see mi life a drip.” This seems to recount parts of what the Surgery artiste said happened in the video that continues to circulate the internet. He continues by stating, “Mi affi wonder if mi salt or if dem obeah mi.”

In the short track that keeps repeating, Silk Boss says, “bad life wicked and mi cyah run from it,” and that going to the lord in prayer hardly helps him at all. Loyal fans of the DJ that believed in him left droves of positive comments as motivation. A fan said, “another hit fr the silk keep on shinning silk who jah bless they can’t stop your progress 🙏youth,” and someone else stated, “cry tough mi g, because nuh matter how hard them try them can’t stop greatness 💯.”
