Skeng’s “Beast Of The Era” EP in The Making
Dancehall star Skeng updated fans on the current project that he is working on, his EP, which has left them salivating for the release. The “Ratty Gang Boss” previously hinted that he was in the process of making it a month ago on his Instagram page, where he dropped a photo of himself with two black goats and a caption that read, “Beast of The Era #RattyGang #Ep #Now.”
The Spanish Town native returned today with a second post on IG, reminding everyone that his “Beast Of The Era” EP is in the making. Fans have since responded to the news with approbation and praise, dubbing him the leader in dancehall.
Even though the grimy nature of Skeng’s songs sparked several controversies, which birthed negative labels, he has maintained a presence in the spotlight with his infectious music. He was also dubbed the”future” by the Queen of Rap, Nicki Minaj.
His latest single, a collaboration with Tommy Lee Sparta entitled Protocol Part 2, has racked up more than 1 million views and over 79k likes since its release last Saturday on YouTube, where it is trending at #2.
Skeng, a global sensation, made his first appearance on Billboard for the Likkle Miss Remix featuring Nicki Minaj, which peaked at #12 on the Rap Digital Song Sales Chart on September 10. A second remix of the song, featuring Nicki Minaj and several female acts, peaked at #1 on the US iTunes Chart.
