Slash Ladat, Releases New Music Video amidst Father’s Death

The recent death of dancehall sensation Dwayne Knight aka Slash Ladat father, Stephen Knight have not slowed down the artist hot trend on the musical scene.His beloved father who was his mentor and role model died in April, 2021.It left a huge dent in the life of the Portmore artist however he has promised that his father’s memory will live on as he dedicates his time to his family and music.  His brother Terrence Knight died at age 20, 19 years ago, on April 10, 2002.

He now has lost two family members in the same month almost two decades apart. Slash Ladat rates the musical prowess and journey of two dancehall giants, Bounty Killer and Vybz Kartel. Incidentally he had two good collaborations in 2004 with Vybz Kartel, Gyal Know Fi Wine and Real Bad Man.He gave the musical scene a break to focus on his family, however he is back with a bang. 

Recently, he shot a video for his The Best hit song. The video which was shot by Tinman from Swag TV and was recorded in Portmore during March and April this year and was released on Friday, May 21, 2021 on his official Youtube VEVO Channel at SLASHLADATMUSIC.

The Best is produced by Bright Nations Records. Slash Ladat is also known for tunes like Explosion and Every moment. The track Explosion is on the Night Fever Riddim, produced by Eye Way Records, and released on February 21, 2020, Every moment, produced by Enshae O. Reid on the DTED riddim it was released on January 9, 2021.
