Spice Issues Apology

Firey Dancehall Queen Spice was scheduled to participate in this year’s staging of Groovin in the Park, however, she issued an apology via social media, regretfully letting her fans know that she would no longer be performing at the event.

Groovin in the Park is slated for Sunday, June 25, 2023, and some of the other artistes that should be taking part are Tarrus Riley, David Rodigan, Cham, Wayne Wonder, and Spice’s long-time rival Minister Marion Hall, formerly Lady Saw.

Some hours ago the Bake A Man singer uploaded an apology post to her Instagram page with the caption, “ATTENTION 🚨 I Will No longer be performing at Groovin in the Park. Please accept my humble apology.”

This was reiterated by the address which stated, “I Grace Spice Hamilton would like to announce with deep regret that I will no longer be performing at Groovin in the Park 2023. For multiple reasons beyond my control, I would like to apologize to all my loyal besties who was anticipating seeing me there and I personally would like to extend this apology to the event promoter who was extremely professional during this time.”

Spice also stated that she is fully responsible for how things turned out and says she still expects that the remaining lineup will put on a spectacular show.

Blaming no one, Spice’s Besties (her fan base) seemed to stand firm at her side and supported her decision to pull out of the show. Spiceofficialcrew said, “We stand with you bestie, sometimes you have to put yourself first 💙,” and nicki_thickazz said, “Yea anything you say bestie cause we nuh waan when sh*t hit the fan them blame you ….”
