Spice’s ‘So Mi Like’ It Hits 100 Million Views

The Dancehall Queen Spice is in a celebratory mood today as her hit track “So Mi Like It” has now stamped its way in the YouTube history book as being one of the genre’s most viewed music videos on the media platform.

The female deejay showed the honourable achievement to her Instagram fans in a post where the only caption was a heart; however, she received much more than a heart from her followers as they filled her comment section with congratulations as the music video for the song soared past 100 million.

The uniqueness that the “So Mi Like It” track carries, tells a great tale of dancehall history since the track was properly crafted by Spice as the artiste, and notable producer Notnice formerly of the “Gaza Camp”, to give it an authentic 90’s feel, something she later replicated in the track “Needle Eye” produced by Brixton Music Group.

The achievement places Spice in a position where it is hard to deny her as the Queen of the genre since she has the look, the sound and the views to back it plus this post by the entertainer might also be a statement to Shenseea who has gotten comfortable since recently in her chase after the crown.

The song is not only picking up slow views either, as in 2020 it was at 90 million views which means that in a matter of a year it accumulated an extra 10 million to put it at its current view count, something which is unheard of for a female dancehall track.
