Residents of a St. Mary community conducted a search operation on Wednesday where they discovered the decomposed body of a 56-year-old woman.
The woman has since been identified as Ann-Marie Henderson, a higgler from the community of Eden Hill, Jacks River in the parish.
According to the Jamaica Observer, she was last seen on Friday, July 29 at about 6:00 p.m. and is said to have left home to collect money from a man nearby.
Her mode of dress at that time was a black top, brown jeans, white Puma sneakers, and a wig.
After not returning home, a search by residents led to the gruesome discovery of Henderson’s partially naked body, lying face down in the bushes at about 4:00 p.m.
The remainder of her clothing was discovered in close proximity to the crime scene.
Police were subsequently summoned to the location and her body was removed to the morgue.
