Suspect Turns Himself in to Police for Killing of 16yo in Westmoreland

After being named as the prime suspect in the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Tara Dennis, alleged ex-boyfriend Anthoneil McNeil turned himself over to the police.

As per reports, McNeil turned himself over to the police on Sunday, a day after the murder which took place early Saturday morning.

The report further details that McNeil will be questioned on Monday in the presence of his lawyer and an arrest will be made following the questions and answers session.

Tara Dennis who was employed as a waitress in Little London and 38-year-old Derron Stewart were shot on her veranda moments after Dennis reportedly returned home from work, both were taken to the hospital where Dennis was pronounced dead.

Stewart, who is a mechanic was admitted to the hospital for the gunshot wounds he received in his back and abdomen.

The incident took place in the community of Grant Bush in the parish(Westmoreland), at approximately 2:15 a.m.
